Cuppy’s Coffee, Smoothies & More

Simpsonville got an extra shot of espresso last June when Steve Parker opened Cuppy’s Coffee, Smoothies & More in front of Big Lots on Woodruff Road.

Parker has a passion for good coffee, he said, adding that he bought into the franchise because he was impressed with the quality of the product.

“They really use the best coffees and flavors,” he said.

Since Cuppy’s opened, the dual-sided, drive-through coffee shop has been busy with before- and after-school traffic, as well as with people looking for a mid-day pick-me-up.

“It’s been a lot of fun,” Parker said. “It’s great to serve people and see them come back and be excited with our product.”

It’s interesting how much you can learn about people in a short time in a drive-through line, he said.

“When you see them every day, you make friends.”

Currently, the Woodruff Road Cuppy’s is the only Cuppy’s open in South Carolina, Parker said. But he plans to open several more locations in the near future, he said.Cuppy’s Coffee, Smoothies & More — 2109 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville — is open Mondays-Thursdays 6 a.m.-8 p.m., Fridays 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m.7 p.m. The shop is closed on Sundays.
